Responding to Territory Checker requests

Required time: Up to 10 minutes

When someone is sent a Territory Checker search area and submits it to you, then you will be able to view it on the main Vision map and compare it with your territory network.

On the main map window the Territory Checker icon will have a notification against it if you have a terriotry check request.

Then, click on Show search area to view the submitted Territory Checker search area on your map.

Now, turn on the relevant layer that contains the franchise territories you want to check against and compare the search area to your territories. We can see in this example there is a green "Awarded" territory and transparent "Available" territory. So we can let the candidate know there is a territory available.

If you don't have any territories in the area, then you can use Vision's territory creation feature to see if you can make a viable territory there. Here's how to make a territory.

To finish off your response, you can log the territory check result in Vision by clicking on the Respond button. This will let you submit a result of "Yes" i.e. there is a territory available, or "No" against the territory check for your own internal reviews later. It also removes the territory check request from your notifications.

NOTE right now Vision does NOT send out any notifications to candidates unless you are using the automated Territory Checker API to support with this. So please be sure to follow up appropriately with your own email and/or internal processes.
